National Right to Life Endorses Herschel Walker in Georgia Senate Race
ATLANTA — National Right to Life announced its endorsement of football legend and businessman Herschel Walker for United States Senate in Georgia.
“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Herschel Walker for the U.S. Senate,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Herschel Walker will be a most effective champion for unborn babies and their mothers in Washington and he has demonstrated the passion and perseverance it takes to win the critically
important Georgia Senate race.”
Herschel Walker supports pro-life protections for unborn babies, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion. He also opposes taxpayer funding of abortion providers.
Herschel Walker supports the longstanding Hyde Amendment, which bars federal tax dollars from being used for abortions in many federal programs. The Hyde Amendment has saved an estimated 2.5 million lives since its passage in 1976.
Herschel Walker opposes the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act, more aptly titled the “Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act,” which would enshrine abortion in federal law and policies and would tear down protective laws on the state level, including Georgia’s parental involvement and informed consent laws. In contrast, Senator Raphael Warnock is a co-sponsor of this radical pro-abortion bill.
Senator Raphael Warnock supports a policy of abortion-on-demand for any reason. Warnock also supports using taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions.
Herschel Walker is also a certified pro-life candidate by the Georgia Life Alliance, the state affiliate of National Right to Life.
“Georgia deserves a pro-life senator like Herschel Walker who is committed to building a culture of life,” said Tobias. “Walker’s stance for life stands in stark contrast to the out-of-touch record of Warnock who supports abortion for any reason until birth.”
