COLUMBIA, S.C. (Monday, August 15, 2022) The US Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade and has returned the issue of abortion back to the states. For the first time in almost 50 years, South Carolina
has the opportunity to protect the unborn child throughout pregnancy while preserving the life of the mother.
We are pleased that the SC House of Representatives Special Ad Hoc Committee has recommended passage of the Human Life Protection Act (H5399) which will do just
that - save the unborn and preserve the life of the mother.
This historic bill will be considered by the SC House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
