WASHINGTON — Carol Tobias, the president of National Right to Life, the federation of state right-to-life affiliates, applauded pro-life Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as an “excellent choice” for vice president by presumptive Republican nominee Donald J.
Trump.
Trump announced Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate today on Truth Social.
“National Right to Life believes Senator Vance is an excellent choice for vice president,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “He is committed to promoting the right to life and
protecting both women and their preborn children.”
Senator J.D. Vance opposes the Biden-Harris push for a sweeping federal law allowing unlimited abortion for any reason until birth.
Like President Trump and the majority of Americans, Senator Vance believes tax dollars should not be used to pay for elective abortions at home or abroad and is a
co-sponsor of legislation in the Senate.
Senator Vance shares President Trump’s commitment to nominating qualified judges who will interpret the Constitution as written and not legislate from the bench.
Senator Vance also supports assisting pregnant women and families in need as well as community-based pregnancy help centers, unlike Joe Biden and Kamala
Harris who seek to undermine the work of these community-supported centers.
“Senator Vance brings a strong pro-life background to the Republican ticket, which contrasts with the extreme pro-abortion position of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” said Tobias.
