COLUMBIA, SC (Monday, January 25, 2021)
South Carolina State Senators are scheduled to begin debate this week on the Fetal Heartbeat Bill S1 that will end most abortions when the unborn child’s heartbeat can be detected.
It is vitally important to contact your state senator (there are 46 state senators) and encourage him or her to PASS S1, the Fetal Heartbeat Bill, with no weakening amendments.
When we vote for a pro-life lawmaker, we presume the lawmaker will vote pro-life; but you still need to call and encourage your senator.
You can find your state senator’s contact information HERE.
You can come to the State House in Columbia and watch the debate in person although there is no way to tell in advance what day or time it will begin.
You can follow the SC Senate on line HERE.
If you can text your State Senator please do or call his/her office in Columbia. If you are unable to find the information on line, call the SCCL office at (803) 252-5433 or email us at sccl@sclife.org and in the subject line of your e-mail write the words NEED INFORMATION.
Please send this ACTION ALERT to 10 people in your church or social media contacts and encourage them to send this action alert to 10 of their friends at church and on social
media.
Other organizations supporting the Heartbeat Bill include the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, the South Carolina Baptist Convention, Palmetto Family, and the South Carolina Association of Pregnancy Care Centers.
