Roe v. Wade, the movie, is the true story behind the controversial 1973 Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in all fifty states. The film is produced by pro-life activist and SCCL friend, Alveda King, and stars John Voight, Nick Loeb, John Schneider, and Stacy Dash.
The movie features Dr. Mildred Fay Jefferson and Dr. Bernard Nathanson. Dr. Jefferson was a founding member of the National Right to Life Committee, of which we are a state affiliate. Dr. Jefferson also went on to serve on the NRLC Board of Directors and became a personal friend of SCCL executive director, Holly Gatling. Dr. Nathanson, was a former abortionist. Our very own Wayne Cockfield,
NRLC VP for Medical Ethics and member of Florence County Citizens for Life, had the opportunity to meet and have an extended conversation with Dr. Nathanson.
